How to set password on your pen drive or any other drive by using Bit Locker

Bit Locker is a default security system of windows operating system. It is available in Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 9 and 10.By using Bit Locker you can lock your any drive or Pen drive for your personal data security. So, Let’s start How to use Bit Locker .

1. Select your pen drive or any drive on your PC and Right-click on it.

2. Click on “Turn on Bit Locker”. A new tab will appear.

3. Click on ‘Use a password to unlock the drive’.

4. Type  and Re-type your password and click on ‘Next’.

5. Click on ‘Save to a file’  to  save your  password  on a text file. This is for if you forget the password.

6.Now click on Next and Click on ‘Encrypt used disk space only’ and click on Next.

7. Click on ‘Start Encrypting’  It will take a few minute depend on your disk space.

8.After completing Encrypt disk or Pen drive, restart your PC(for PC) or remove and connect again to the PC(for pen drive). Now you will see your drive or pen drive is completely  Locked.

After all these you can not open your drive without password.You can unlock by formatting your drive, But your data will be lost.so, you must remember your password carefully.
